Worship with us

Greetings in Christ,

Living in this time of COVID-19 has meant daily, even hourly, changes. Early on, the Kingo Lutheran Church Council made the decision to cancel worship and ALL Kingo events until further notice, joining the effort to slow the impact of this virus. This decision comes under the advice from the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton.

In times of anxiety, worship has served as a source of hope for the community through proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. But, that also means we must consider what good news means for the entire community. The good news of Jesus Christ means caring for those most vulnerable to this virus as well as our health care workers and system.

Worship and prayer services will be available online until we can again worship in-person. We encourage you to share the experience of worship with us. Sign up on the pop-up form to receive links to our Sunday morning 10:00 am Zoom worship services. View recorded Online Connections worship services at any time that fits your schedule. Pause each day at noon to unite with one voice in prayer (see below). Or join All Peoples Church for a live stream worship experience Sunday mornings at 10:45 am

May you know the comfort of God's presence in the sacred wilderness.

In Christ,

Pastor Carolyn Sellers Rizzo

We join our voices together as ONE in CHRIST:

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.

(Psalm 46:1-3)

Holy Spirit, reveal yourself to us at this time. Watch over all national leaders and citizens. Protect those most vulnerable and susceptible to this virus. Build up health care workers with perseverance. Now is the time that we are your church without buildings. Show us how to connect and care for each other, our neighbors, and strangers.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.

a gift is a gift

At Kingo we believe that:

  • God owns everything.
  • God gives abundantly.
  • Trusting in God's goodness, we share all that we have been given.
  • As resources circulate in the community and world, God's blessings are recycled to create more blessings.

Your gift to Kingo, in any amount, is a blessing. A gift is a gift, and we say, "Thank you!"
