Quilting - What do you get when a group of seamstresses meets every Tuesday for 40 years? A lot of quilts! Kingo Quilters create quilts, pillows, and dolls for local hospitals, as well as for Kingo members and friends facing life transitions. Their faithful stitching wraps the world in God's love.
Gardens & Little Free Library - Come to the corner of Olive & Wilson to find nourishment for the soul, body and brain. Each year our raised bed gardens yield a harvest of healthy herbs and vegetables for the church and neighbors. The gardens provide a vibrant, yet restful, space for the Little Free Library, a "take a book, leave a book" exchange box.
Neighborhood Resource - Kingo often serves as a gathering place for the community. Kingo hosts the spring send-off breakfast for the Shorewood Connects program where neighborhood volunteers offer assistance to residents who need help with yardwork. Additionally, town hall meetings, REDgen events, League of Women Voters, Peace Action, Shorewood High School concerts, and the Whitefish Bay-Shorewood Nursery School all take place within Kingo's walls.
